When, for whatever reason, you can't climb stairs anymore, every step becomes an obstacle at home, in public buildings or visiting friends. With the Scalamobil, obstructed paths become free again. No matter whether they are steep, narrow or spiral staircases, of wood, stone or carpet, the Scalamobil overcomes all types of staircase easily and can be operated simply, once training has been given.
Thanks to its patented climbing mechanism the Alber scalamobil safely and effortlessly negotiates all kinds of situations. This powerful mobility device can be used with a large variety of manual wheelchairs (with large, quick release wheels) by attaching a set of brackets to the user's wheelchair, enabling it to lock on to the Scalamobil within a few seconds. The innovative ErgoBalance handles have been designed by specialists to ensure a simple and safe operation and the integrated IQ sensors provide additional comfort and safety.Easy and safe to operate
The effort for the attendant is marginal. Full training is included in the cost of the machine and you don't need to be particularly strong to operate it safely. The ergonomic shape of the new ErgoBalance handles on the scalamobil has been designed by specialists to ensure simple and safe operation while the automatic safety brakes on the wheels dependably guide the scalamobil on any staircase. The cushioned padding at the back of the handlebar combined with the user friendly operating switch guarantee that even longer use is no problem at all. All important functions are immediately visible on the clearly arranged display. The handles can be adjusted in height and width adapting perfectly to the operator.
Comfortable for the wheelchair user
The IQ sensors of the Scalamobil support the user and permit a very safe and, most of all, comfortable ascent or descent. The soft, abrasion-proof tyres exclude damage to the staircase.
Portable
The Scalamobil fits into any car since it can be easily dismantled into three small and handy components. The motor unit has an integrated carrying handle.
